Wendy brings to Turn more than 25 years of experience in marketing, advertising and media, combining client, agency and publisher side perspectives. As Turn’s chief revenue officer, Wendy is responsible for leading a team that is helping brands and agencies capitalize on today’s dynamic ecosystem and enterprise needs, through world-class technology and marketing fluency.
Wendy joins Turn from AOL, where she served as senior vice president of sales for the Central region. In that role, Wendy and her team were responsible for strategic partnerships and driving revenue growth in the Midwest, selling programmatic display, video and reserved content sponsorships across screens.
Earlier experience on the marketing side of the industry includes her role as vice president of marketing at Hyatt Corporation, where she led the team in embracing digital strategies and was named a “Top 50 Marketer” by Advertising Age. Wendy also served for four years – prior to joining AOL – as chief marketing officer at Feeding America, the leading U.S. anti-hunger non-profit. Under her guidance the organization launched their first national branding campaign, raising awareness and engagement with the issue of domestic hunger and driving revenue growth. Her work there also received multiple industry awards, including the 2010 CMF top honor Golden Halo award, a Silver Addy and The Good Design award, for excellence in graphic design.
Wendy gained valuable perspective on the agency side of the advertising and marketing industry through her time at Starcom IP in 2000 and again in 2005. While at Starcom, Wendy worked with companies such as P&G, McDonald’s, Kraft, Best Buy, Discover Card and Morgan Stanley as they tested the digital space and ultimately executed successful digital deals. Prior to joining Starcom, Wendy led global strategies and campaigns for leading brands such as McDonald’s, Coca-Cola, Kellogg’s and Kraft in her role as Vice President, Account Director at Leo Burnett.
Wendy holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Wisconsin.
