James brings more than 15 years of product leadership experience in digital advertising. As senior vice president of product at Turn, he leads all product development across Turn’s DSP, DMP and analytics platform.
James comes to Turn from mobile user acquisition network Appia, where he focused on cross-device and built out a mobile app and advertising ecosystem as chief product officer. In 2015, Appia was acquired by Digital Turbine.
Prior to Appia, James was the SVP of product at Millennial Media, where he built out the product team and was part of the leadership team that took the company through a successful IPO in 2012. He also held significant product leadership positions at AOL, where he led product management across AOL Advertising, and Advertising.com, where he built the display product management team.
James holds a bachelor's degree in math and physics from Kenyon College and a master's degree in systems engineering from the University of Virginia.
